This project is a long time coming. Thank you for taking the time to check it out.

An early version of this project was released for the A Game By Its Cover 2021 jam so here we are after nearly three years of baby dev head smashing and research: from experimental sandbox to actual game.

In December 2023, I revived Laughingstock Apocalypse in Godot 3.5 after a solid year of R&D outside of work in the engine. However, its roots go even further back to a short story I wrote in my second-to-last year of high school called The Bovine Comedy. That was just over a decade ago so it makes me very proud to have something completely different to show for a story I couldn’t let go of.

I’m in this project for the long haul so maybe I’ll even share the story one day.
